Seemingly the same, we tend to forget that doing the same thing becomes easier over time.
The word 'consistence' originates in the act of standing firm, while 'persistence' means continuing steadfastly. Intuitively consistency is more interested in sticking to a plan rather than imagining a new one. Persistent protagonists will travel and explore out of an intrinsic belief that there is something to be found; a new axiom, a new way of looking at things.
But that same protagonist might compromise relational connection because of such deep conviction. It can get lonely in a belief.
